About the Adelaide College of Divinity
The Adelaide College of Divinity, Inc
(ACD) is a consortium of Anglican, Catholic and Uniting Church theological colleges located on the ACD Campus at Brooklyn Park, South Australia. The ACD was established in 1979 to provide higher education in theology to South Australians. ACD bachelor and masters courses enable students to examine critically the Christian theological tradition and bring that tradition into dialogue with the issues of contemporary society. Through affiliation with the Flinders University, the ACD also teaches theology courses from bachelor to PhD in the School of Theology.
The ACD offers a 3 year Bachelor of Ministry course and a 4 year part time Master of Ministry course. The Bachelor of Ministry is available by distance education.
The Adelaide Theological Library on the ACD Campus is affiliated with the Flinders University Library and holds the main theological collection for the University. The ATL collection includes well over 60,000 volumes, 220 current periodicals and various online resources, including citation and full text databases.
The Flinders University and Adelaide College of Divinity Centre for Theology, Science and Culture located on the ACD Campus provides a focus for research in Theology. The Centre is an impetus for quality research, teaching and postgraduate supervision. It facilitates a lively interaction with the churches and other religious organisations and engagement with a range of community groups through regular seminars and public presentations as well as conferences.
