Australian Academy of Design
The Australian Academy of Design
is a not-for-profit, independent institution specializing in degree and diploma level courses in advertising, fashion design, graphic design, photomedia/multimedia and visual arts. The Academy is located in Melbourne, Australia, in close proximity to major cultural facilities such as the National Gallery of Victoria and many professional studios and organizations in the creative industries. The new state-of-the-art facilities at the Academy’s Port Melbourne campus provide students a creative environment where they can discover their creative potential.
The Academy provides high quality educational programs in a supportive, friendly and academically rigorous environment where the professional needs of students are met by a highly qualified and committed teaching faculty. The Bachelor of Design Arts is offered exclusively at the Academy. Affiliation agreements with universities enable students to pursue research in the creative arts and design to the master degree level. Affiliation agreements between the Academy and leading art and design institutions in Europe provide students opportunities to study abroad for credit.
Academy students are very successful in design competitions and its graduates are gaining highly desirable professional positions. The Academy maintains close links with the creative industries through its Industry Advisory Panels and leading art and design professionals regularly attend the Academy as guest lecturers.

In addition to the VTAC selection process all applicants must make a direct application for admission to the Academy.
