is a top ranked American university that has established operations in Adelaide, South Australia. The university offers post-graduate master’s programs through the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management and the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC). The university’s programs are recognised and valued by employers and provide students with a solid foundation for their careers. Over 90% of our students are employed within a few months of graduation and many have offers well in advance of completing their degrees.
Heinz School programs on offer include the Master of Science in Public Policy and Management (MSPPM) and the Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT). Both programs are offered on a full-time and part-time basis.
The Master of Entertainment Technology is offered full-time through the ETC.
These programs will be offered out of two state-of-the-art facilities in the central business district in Adelaide: in Victoria Square and on Currie Street. Adelaide is an ideal place for students to study. It is affordable, safe and accessible. The beach is within 20 minutes and wine country is within an hour of the campus. The city offers wonderful restaurants and cultural events and South Australia boasts numerous world-class festivals throughout the year.
The programs are international in staff and student populations and in course content.

Minimum Entrance Requirements
Master of Science in Public Policy and Management Application Prerequisites
- Undergraduate degree. Candidates must have an undergraduate degree from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Statistics and Pre-calculus. We require at least one university level unit of study in each of these areas.
- IELTS. Current academic IELTS (if applicable) with a minimum overall score of 6.5.
- GMAT or GRE. Applicants are required to take either the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Records Exam (GRE). If taking the GRE, only the general test is required. If you took the test more than five years ago, you must take it again. Please visit www.mba.com/mba/TaketheGMAT or www.gre.com for more information.
- One-year track requirements. In order to qualify for the one-year MSPPM, applicants must have at least three years of relevant professional work experience

Master of Entertainment Technology Application Prerequisites
Entry requirements
In order to be considered for the MET program you must be a graduate of an undergraduate program from a recognised tertiary institution. You do not need to have an Honours Degree; nor do you need to have a specific qualification, grade or work experience. You do, however, have to have demonstrated proficiency in a discipline that will enable you to contribute to the creation of entertainment technologies.
If you are an international student, the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is required. You do not need to fulfill this condition if you earned your undergraduate degree at an English speaking university.

Annual audits have not been conducted for Carnegie Mellon’s programs in Australia. They will be posted on our websites at www.heinz.cmu.edu/australia and at www.etc.cmu.edu.
As Carnegie Mellon University has only recently been approved as a higher education provider under Higher Education Support Act, audit arrangements are to be advised.
