About Christian Heritage College
Christian Heritage College
is a fully accredited Australian higher education provider. At CHC, higher education is not only about academic and professional development – it is also about personal growth, because who you are is as important for success in life and work as what you know.
CHC’s mission is to provide higher education courses with a Christian perspective and to equip people for leadership and excellence – in their professional work, their personal lives and the wider community. A feature of CHC courses is a unique combination of, and commitment to, Christian growth and academic and professional studies within a Christian environment.
CHC offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business (majors in Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Accounting), Education (majors in Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary), Social Sciences (majors in Counselling, Youth Studies, Chaplaincy, Human Services) and Ministry (majors in Biblical Studies, Theology and Church History, Ministry and Mission).
CHC has strong links with industry partners. Throughout their courses, students engage in practicums and internships which result in early employment opportunities for a high percentage of graduates.
CHC’s courses are widely recognised by industry bodies. For example, all preservice teacher education courses are approved by the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT), while the Bachelor of Social Science (Counselling) and Master of Counselling are registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Youth Studies) is recognised by the Australian Council of Welfare and Community Workers (AIWCW).
Many of CHC’s courses are available by external studies.
