The Gordon
Victoria’s No 1 arts college is located at the gateway to the Geelong Cultural Precinct which features the Gordon Gallery, Geelong Performing Arts Centre, bookshops, cafés and the renowned Geelong Gallery with its major art collection and regular exhibitions. No wonder so many graduates comment on our unique ‘vibe’.
The Gordon team has been working behind the scenes to bring you the most progressive training institute in Geelong. We’ve been very successful at it for a long time, as you know – for almost 120 years – but we’re mindful times are changing faster than ever before and keeping up with technology, emerging trades and careers, and innovative course delivery takes a great deal of effort and focus.
For more than two years we’ve researched the local region, talked to students and engaged industry and business to find out what they really needed from The Gordon.
And we’ve listened.
In 2009 we launched our new Enterprise configuration, a concept capable of driving us into the future. Four Education Enterprises with 12 Skills Centres manage our 240 courses. It’s an exciting change for us.
And there’s so much more to come.
Our main aim is still the same. Our staff specialise in training highly employable skilled workers ready to make a difference. That’s it…we’re here to give you every chance to be the best you can be.
We hope to welcome you on-campus in 2011.
