About the Gordon Institute of TAFE
The Gordon Institute of TAFE
has fostered and cultivated vocational education and training in Geelong and the surrounding region since 1887. From humble beginnings servicing 63 students at one campus, the Gordon has expanded to become the largest Victorian regional TAFE institute encompassing six campuses, two interstate offices and operating with a delivery and support network of more than 600 staff.
To meet the needs of current and prospective students, the Gordon offers full time, part time and specialist courses. Distance education and online learning are emerging pathways of study for many Gordon students. Training and education is offered at certificate, diploma, advanced diploma and degree levels and more than 240 nationally accredited courses are delivered annually.
The Gordon is a national education and training provider, delivering on-site customised industry training programs in NSW, Tasmania and Queensland. Considerable impact into peak international markets has been a particular priority in recent years.
The Gordon offers world-class education and training in progressive learning environments and continually seeks to strengthen and foster the learning culture that won it ‘Training Provider of the Year (Large)’ at the 2003 Victorian Training Awards.
