About JMC Academy
Established in 1982, the JMC Academy
is Australia’s largest training and education provider for the Creative Industries. JMC Academy offers Music and Entertainment Education Technology courses. From one-year Diplomas to three-year Bachelor Degrees, the JMC Academy’s industry-standard technology and expert lecturers ensure students every opportunity for success in this burgeoning industry.

All courses are available at a Diploma, Associate Degree and Bachelor Degree level. With the added benefit of FEE-HELP, students are given a genuine opportunity to pursue their studies to the highest level. Scholarships are also available for eligible students.
A unique feature of the JMC Academy student experience is the JMC Academy's Integration program which simulates the true workings for the Creative Industries. In this way, each course curriculum is designed to interact across all disciplines for maximum student interaction and project collaboration.
JMC Academy students also enjoy the experience of becoming involved in the industry internship programs established jointly with key industry leaders.

Minimum Entrance Requirements
The entry requirements for study at the JMC Academy are:
- A Year 12 level of education.
- A UAI or Enter score of 65 or above, or an OP score of 16 or above, or equivalent in other states. This is recommended but not essential.
- Applicants must attend an interview and are encouraged to prepare a portfolio for this interview outlining academic achievements, work experience and references.
- Satisfactory English.
- Victorian applicants must apply through VTAC.
Alternative entry into JMC degree courses may be available in certain circumstances (minimum year 10).
Popular Music and Performance applicants are required to attend an audition to demonstrate their musicianship.

International students are required to be proficient in English (and send proof thereof) in accordance with DIAC requirements. International students may be required to undertake an English proficiency exam during the enrolment process.
