About Leo Cussen Institute
Leo Cussen Institute
was established by an act of Victorian Parliament in 1972. For over thirty years, the Institute has provided Practical Legal Training to law graduates entering the legal profession.
The Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice is widely recognised by the legal profession as providing comprehensive and quality training for law graduates leading to their admission to the legal profession as Australian Lawyers. The course is offered in both online and onsite (face-to-face) delivery modes. Visiting instructors, highly experienced in a diverse range of legal practice, share their experience and knowledge. Full-time staff mentors encourage, support, and assess the graduate’s practise of the law at every step in the running of simulated files. Our graduates experience the realities of legal practice while being trained in a friendly, risk free, and safe environment.
