About the Navitas College of Public Safety (NCPS)

Established in 1990, Navitas College of Public SafetyYou are now leaving Going to Uni is an Australian owned independent tertiary education provider offering a range of degree and graduate qualifications in criminal justice, public safety and security.

All higher education courses are accredited and are offered on both a full-time and part-time basis. The resulting qualifications are equivalent in every way to those obtained from a University.

The College has campuses centrally located in the Melbourne CBD, Sydney CBD and Brisbane CBD. As the student population tends be small, the learning environment is personalised and students are known by all staff.

Teaching staff are all highly academically qualified in relevant disciplines and also have extensive practical experience as professionals in their area of expertise. Students are thus taught by lawyers, psychologists, criminologists and police officers. In addition to receiving a comprehensive theoretical and academically sound education necessary for a career in the field, students are given a practical focus, provided by way of guest speakers, excursions and work placements in areas such as prisons, federal and state police forces and the courts.

Graduates of the courses will possess qualifications that are widely recognised by professional agencies and major employers within various fields. The College’s graduates have been extremely successful in obtaining employment in areas such as Victoria Police, Corrections (Community Corrections and Prisons), Juvenile Justice custodial facilities, Courts, Customs and Security management
.
