About Swan TAFE
Swan TAFE 
is one of Western Australia’s largest training organisations and the leader in quality training, flexible delivery and client access.
Swan TAFE is an innovative organisation that prides itself on the delivery of over 300 qualifications across a broad range of study areas within both the Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education environments.
Swan TAFE’s commitment to the identification of emergent industries, training opportunities and the development of learning pathways for students across Western Australia is exemplified by recently becoming the first TAFE college in Western Australia to be registered to deliver and have accredited a newly developed Associate Degree program.
The Associate Degree in Hospitality Management, has been developed by Swan TAFE in partnership with Murdoch University - a pathway into the Bachelor's Degree in Commerce.
The Associate Degree in Business will also articulate into the third year of a Bachelor of Commerce at Murdoch University.
Commencing July 2008 will be the Associate Degree in Aviation (Aeronautics), Associate Degree in Aviation (Managment) and the Associate Degree in Aviation (Maintenance Engineering).
Other innovative Associate Degree courses are also being developed. Studying within the new Associate Degree program will enable you to acquire knowledge that will equip you with skills to research and analyse key concepts and theories that are evolving within the relevant social, technical and cultural contexts. In Addition, these Higher Education programs provide a point of entry into associated professional employment opportunites and pathways into a range of undergraduate programs.
Swan TAFE is excited to be entering into the Higher Education environment and believe that it will provide students with a competitive alternative to traditional university-based programs.

Minimum Entrance Requirements
- Successful completion of an Australian year 12 tertiary entrance examination or equivalent qualification; or
- Completion of the Full International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum of 24 points from six subjects at one sitting. Three of the subjects must be at the higher level. One of the six subjects should be English; or
- Certificate IV in a relevant area; or
- Completion of a relevant qualification in another country that is deemed by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR) as being at least comparable to an AQF Certificate IV; or
- Students who turn 20 during the first year of study with relevant work or other practical experience and a demonstrated level of general education.
