About the Institute of Counselling Incorporated
The Institute of counselling
was formed in 1970 to meet a growing need in the community for counsellor training. This initiative attracted a large and varied range of students who were interested and motivated to develop more effective communication and counselling skills to enhance their work. From these beginnings the reputation and expertise of the institute grew.
Today the institute of counselling is a registered higher education provider offering postgraduate qualifications specialising in counselling education. The institute is a not-for-profit organization with a strong and proven commitment to quality adult education. The aim of the institute is to provide students with a creative learning environment and a comprehensive foundation in counselling theory and practice integrated with both personal and professional development.
