About the College of Law
The College of Law
is the largest provider of practical legal training in Australasia and offers all law students a large choice of courses, study modes and locations.
The College of Law’s Professional Program offers Practical Legal Training (PLT) enabling direct admission in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, ACT and the Northern Territory and by mutual recognition in all other states. A wide range of post-admission courses including a Graduate Diploma of In-house Legal Practice, Continuing Legal Education, Legal Practice Management and LAW9000 courses are also available to support professional development.
The College of Law offers training that gives you effective and marketable skills through:
- innovative training;
- actual experiences in professional and legal services; and
- significant and continued advances in technology.
The planning, development and provision of our education services are directed to a vision of legal education that is focused on developing excellence in legal education as an instrument of service to the public. This vision has a professional philosophy of teaching and learning that emphasises innovative teaching strategies, measurable learning outcomes and continuous quality improvement.
Central to this philosophy is the notion of student as client and commitment to flexible study modes which best suit student and employer needs. In particular, the College has committed itself to being at the forefront of multimedia technologies for distance education.
