About Charles Darwin University
Located in Australia's rapidly growing Northern Territory, Charles Darwin University (CDU)
offers study from the certificate level to undergraduate, postgraduate coursework through to research doctorates giving students pathways and choices and the opportunity to return to study at any time. The University readily articulates vocational education courses into its degree programs.
With a depth of courses in traditional areas of study including law, business, the humanities, creative and performing arts, communication, education, health, environmental science, pharmacy, science including sports science, engineering and IT, Charles Darwin University also specialises in areas unique to its location including tropical and desert region studies and Indigenous research and education. As Australia's closest university to Asia, Charles Darwin's offerings also reflect this geographic and cultural influence.
Higher education courses are offered from the Darwin (Casuarina), Palmerston, and Alice Springs campuses. The University has study centres throughout the Northern Territory as well as study pathways connecting Charles Darwin University to other Australian and international universities.
Charles Darwin University is the largest research and development performer in the Northern Territory.
As the Northern Territory is rich in Indigenous culture and has a close interaction with the peoples of Southeast Asia, there are boundless opportunities for research and exploration. Our environments range from the expansive deserts in central Australia to the tropical north, including the Arafura Sea, rich in marine life, and the biodiversity of the world heritage Kakadu National Park.
Charles Darwin is a fresh place of learning that welcomes researchers, teachers and students to share in the unique opportunities we offer.
