About Christian Heritage College
Christian Heritage College
is a fully accredited Australian higher education institution, offering recognised degrees in Business, Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Ministry at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Christian Heritage College was founded in 1986 as a result of Christian Outreach Centre's vision for Christian higher education in Australia.
The College’s mission is to provide higher education programs with a Christian perspective, and to equip people for leadership, discipleship and service – in their professional work, in their personal lives, and in the wider community. CHC programs therefore combine a commitment to academic excellence with a commitment to a Christian worldview.
Christian Heritage College has a special interest in teacher education, offering initial teacher education for early childhood, primary, and secondary teaching, and postgraduate professional development programs. While graduates work in all sectors of Australian education, the College has an established reputation as a major provider of teachers to Christian schools.
CHC also offers highly regarded programs in Counselling and an innovative specialisation in Youth Studies and Chaplaincy.
At CHC, higher education is about more than academic and professional development - it is also about personal growth, because we recognise that who you are is more important for success in life and work than simply what you know. CHC, therefore, seeks to develop the whole person, integrating personal growth and professional development.
Nestled in bushland at Mansfield in Brisbane's south-east it is easy to forget that CHC is only 20 minutes drive from the city centre with easy access to the Gold and Sunshine Coasts via the Gateway Motorway. Many of the CHC's programs are available by distance education.
Enrolments in all programs currently exceed 850 students.
Christian Heritage College offers a unique combination of Christian growth and academic and professional studies, within a Christian environment.
