About the Australian
Guild of Music Education
The Australian Guild of Music Education
is a non-profit organisation providing Distance Education solely in the field of Music Education.
Our aim is to provide students with information that they can use in any Music industry related career (Music Teaching, Live Performance, Composing/Arranging, Recording, Examination, Music Retail, Music Computer software and multimedia, Music publishing, and many other Music careers).
Students gain a wide range of knowledge in all subjects.
The Guild also holds live lectures at the premises mentioned below allowing students to have more involvement with lecturers/students.
Distance students are able to contact lecturers via phone and email regarding any questions in business hours.
Lecturers/tutors contact or discuss in person with students any concerns they may have regarding subjects and always work with the student on ways to strengthen any weaknesses.
The Guild has always maintained a high percentage rate of passing students.
All lecturers are musicians and educators of high standing in their field of expertise.
The Australian Guild of Music Education also holds short courses leading up to the Bachelor of Music Degree.

Minimum Entrance Requirements
Students can enter the Bachelor of Music through an interview/audition or obtain immediate entry based on a Grade 5 Theory and Grade 7 Performance pass from the AGMED.

Awarded to selected students upon the decision of the Dean after audition/interview.

Quality Information
Providers are required to be audited. Australian Guild of Music is scheduled for a Quality Audit in 2011.
