About Melbourne Institute of Experiential and Creative Arts Therapy Incorporated (MIECAT)

 
The Melbourne Institute for Experiential & Creative Arts Therapy MIECAT You are now leaving Going to Uniis an accredited tertiary education institute that operates on a not-for-profit basis, and is approved for Austudy and the Youth Allowance. MIECAT offers the following postgraduate programmes in Melbourne and Brisbane:

A Graduate Certificate in Experiential & Creative Arts Therapy.
A Graduate Diploma in Experiential & Creative Arts Therapy.
A Master of Arts (by Research) and a Master of Arts (by Supervision).

A Professional Doctorate in Experiential & Creative Arts Therapy.

MIECAT teaches a multi-modal, experiential arts approach to the exploration of significant life meanings. MIECAT courses are suitable for practitioners involved in the fields of counselling, education, community arts practice, and health promotion. MIECAT also supports individuals who wish to understand more about themselves, group facilitators wanting to explore shared meanings, and organisational consultants who rely on collaborative person centred approaches to achieve work related goals.

This way of working emphasises companioning others in a form of inquiry based in respect, compassion and commitment to the search for an authentic way of living.

Prospective students are invited to attend the MIECAT information sessions and free introductory workshops scheduled each year prior to selection, (see www.miecat.org.au for dates and times) or to ring the MIECAT office during business hours and request additional course information.
