About the Southern School of Natural Therapies

In its forty-fourth year, the Southern School of Natural TherapiesYou are now leaving Going to Uni is the longest established college of natural medicine in this country and is rightfully referred to as the birthplace of the naturopathic profession in Australia. The school's mission is to improve the health of the community by providing training in the natural therapies of the highest possible standard. The school is registered as a non-profit organisation so any surplus of funds, made by the school, must be re-invested into improving its courses, facilities and services to students. It is this aspect of the school's structure that enables it to provide the best naturopathic education facilities available in Australia.

The Southern School of Natural Therapies offers specialist courses in naturopathy, traditional Chinese medicine, myotherapy and massage for individuals who wish to enter any of these areas as highly skilled professional practitioners.  All courses are on a full-fee basis and details of fees may be obtained from the school. The day-time timetable is structured to enable some courses to be studied over three consecutive days per week for the duration of the course.

The Southern School of Natural Therapies is located in the inner suburb of Fitzroy, one of Melbourne's most popular and vibrant entertainment areas. Students are only a two-minute walk from colourful Brunswick Street, with its restaurants, cafes, bars, bookshops and music shops. The school is within walking distance of the city centre (20 minutes) and is well served by several tram and bus lines.
