About Tabor College Victoria

Tabor College (Victoria)You are now leaving Going to Uni, a multi denomination Christian Education Centre, offers a number of government accredited courses at tertiary level. The College seeks to provide academically sound Christian education for effective life and work in Christian contexts.

Theologically, Tabor College (Vic.) is Bible-based, evangelical and charismatic. You may not agree with everything, but we hope you will consider fully what is taught, even if different from what you previously believed. In assignments, you will sometimes be expected to analyse or discuss a particular view, so it is clear you understand it, even if your personal view differs. However, no attempt will be made to impose doctrines on students and every attempt will be made to encourage students to be loyal to their own church or denomination.

The College seeks to:
• provide high quality tertiary education in theology and other disciplines related to the conduct of Christian churches and associated organisations;
• pursue quality and excellence in the design and delivery of its courses;
• disseminate knowledge in ways which benefit Christian workers and members of their client groups;
• present a variety of perspectives about significant issues to clergy and lay members of Christian churches;
• promote academic study and investigation of Christian doctrine;
• educate potential workers in Christian organisations;
• relate Christian principles to the performance of pastors, teachers and lay members of Christian churches;
• equip potential graduates with necessary skills to work in the Christian church in the post-modern world;
• offer courses in flexible, challenging modes, maximising modern technologies and accommodating the needs of students;
• conduct itself ethically and give practical demonstration to its belief in social justice and accountability.
