The Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia was established in 1988 and has campuses ideally located in both Sydney and in Melbourne. In 2008 the Whitehouse Institute celebrated 20 years of Design Education and is the leading Australian privately owned design institution.
Offering a unique learning environment that develops design, technical and visual communication skills across all mediums. Establishing sound management skills dealing in commercial realism, with an on emphasis the importance of teacher/student consultation.
The Bachelor of Design program offers core design subjects and specialisations in Fashion Design, Interior Design and Styling and Creative Direction. These disciplines are taught through integrated and specialist strands of study; Design Context, Design Communications, Design Methods and Design Synthesis.
This three year degree course is underpinned by a learning culture supporting innovation and creativity built on academic discipline; providing a sound design education that fosters personal growth and the establishment of an individual design identity.

Minimum Entrance Requirements
Year 12 level of education
UAI or ENTER score of 65 or equivalent
Creative portfolio of 6 – 8 pieces of most recent design work – no larger than A3 (or completed entrance exam – see website)
Personal statement/resume with work history or other supporting documentation (recommended but not essential)
Whitehouse entry requirements are based on merit and academic performance as well as other selection criteria. All applicants residing in Australia are required to attend an interview.
