You can apply for a Commonwealth supported place either through:
- a tertiary admission centre (TAC), or
- your higher education provider (provider), if permitted.

If your application is successful, then either the tertiary admissions centre or your provider will contact you with an offer of a Commonwealth supported place. You will be sent:
- an enrolment package
- an Information for Commonwealth supported students 2009 booklet
- a Request for Commonwealth support and HECS-HELP form.

Request for Commonwealth support and HECS-HELP form
You must complete a Request for Commonwealth support and HECS-HELP form if you enrol in a Commonwealth supported place. This form is available from your provider. The form must be completed, signed and returned to your provider on or before the census date for your units of study. Some providers allow the electronic submission of the forms.
