The Commonwealth Scholarships Program provides financial support to eligible Indigenous students to assist with the costs associated with higher education. There are two scholarships – one for general education costs and one for accommodation costs.
These scholarships:
- target Indigenous students from low socio-economic status backgrounds
- do not count as income for any social security income tests
- will be awarded to eligible students on a competitive basis and
- do not need to be repaid by the student.
